Movie Monday – “The Room”

I don’t really know where to start with this one, I will just start with how I believe this movie was born. If Ben Affleck (“Gigli”) fucked Mariah Carey (“Glitter”), they would give birth to Eddie Murphy (“Pluto Nash”). If Eddie Murphy put his dick in John Travolta’s (“Battlefield Earth”) asshole and somehow conceived a baby; that baby would still be fifty times better than Tommy Wiseau (The Room).

Whenever anyone starts a sentence with “it is so bad it is funny,” it is normally followed by something that is not fucking funny at all. But in this case, “The Room” does not disappoint. Any movie that is released as a drama, but then rebranded as a dark comedy has to be golden…It is available on Netflix, but that is just about the only place I can find it. I do recommend being extremely baked, or you might just get mad and throw a boot at the TV. This movie is a classic though, and by classic I mean a huge piece of shit. So smoke it up and do it up. Movie Monday – “Baraka”

Now I have been watching movies for awhile now, and I can think back to some movies that were just monumental in the way they were shot. But here is a gem that has been buried underground since 1992. But you say to yourself, “NAW MAN, Yellow Submarine is the shit when you’re high”, and I say, “Fuck off you nub, and go shitty typical shit when you are high”. Here at TTDH we expose what hasn’t been done before, and this is one of them. There are 150,000 frames of beauty, which is now available on Blu-ray; which is literally breathtaking. So toke up, sit down, and watch your jaw drop. I will leave this with a quote by the most prominent movie reviewer of our time. (more…)
